The Oak Room is an amazing space in central Tiverton with a cafe, gallery, meeting room, garden and large auditorium for music events or weddings.
Originally founded as a church in 1660, the existing building is Victorian, built in 1831, and until 2012 it was a United Reformed Church. In April 2014 it was bought by Sue Searle, a local business woman and property investor who intends to convert the former church into a vibrant community space.
Sue renamed the former church The Oak Room and started her vision of transforming the building into the hub of Tiverton for art and music with stunning garden. Having been a cafe and art gallery for 18 months it is now an Arts Centre.
The Oak Room is suitable for live music, films. plays, choirs, fairs, workshops, seminars, meetings, conferences, weddings… the possible uses are endless!
