An evening to delight nature and bird lovers. Dr. Miriam Darlington is joined by writer and broadcaster Stephen Moss. Miriam’s latest book was Radio 4 Book of the Week, and Stephen is a regular contributor to the Guardian Birdwatch column.

Miriam Darlington was born in Lewes, Sussex. A prize- winning poet, she taught French and English for twelve years, before becoming a full-time writer in 2007. For most of her life, Miriam Darlington has obsessively tracked and studied wildlife. Qualified in modern languages, nature writing and field ecology, she is a Nature Notebook columnist at The Times. Her poetry collection Windfall was published in 2008 and her first book Otter Country was published in 2012. Her most recent book Owl Sense is out now by GuardianFaber was recently Book of the Week on BBC Radio 4. She lives in Devon with two children, one dog, two cats, four chickens and one husband.
Stephen Moss is a naturalist, writer and broadcaster, who also lectures in nature and travel writing at Bath Spa University. He is the original producer of BAFTA award-winning TV series Springwatch whose other TV credits include Big Cat Diary, Birds Britannia and Birding with Bill Oddie. He has published a number of of best-selling books on birds and British wildlife and writes a monthly Birdwatch column for the Guardian. His latest book is Mrs Moreau’s Warbler: How Birds Got Their Names.
